ABOUT INSIDE EDUCATION
Inside Education is a non-profit society providing education programming to Alberta teachers and students, community groups and the public who want to learn more about the issues related to environmental sustainability and the development and use of our natural resources.
We exist as a centre for environment-development education, facilitating relevant, quality learning that empowers educators and other leaders to achieve a healthy, productive community.
Our mission is to empower all Albertans to make informed choices about the environment-development relationship by providing bias-balanced education.
CURRENT EDUCATION, OUTREACH PROGRAMS OR ACTIVITIES:
Developed/ing and distributing the Energy Education Poster series in Alberta, Ontario and other regions. The series consists of poster-based learning kits on Petroleum, Oil Sands and Electricity.
Deliver an in-school energy education program to schools in Alberta, BC and NWT on energy and the environment – Energy Adopt A Classroom.
Organize and deliver professional development programs for educators on energy topics…programs range from one-hour sessions through week-long institutes.
Inside Education also presents extensive education programming related to water and forest/landscape resources and related issues.
