Clean Air Strategic Alliance
Established in 1994, the Clean Air Strategic Alliance was created as a collaborative partnership by the Government of Alberta to provide leadership, expertise, and diverse sector perspectives in support of advancing provincial air quality management priorities.
CASA brought together over 20 member organizations representing government, Indigenous Peoples, industry, and non-government sectors. Guided by a vision that the air will have no adverse odour, taste or visual impact and have no measurable short- or long-term adverse effects on people, animals or the environment, CASA used a consensus-based collaboration and leveraged the collective knowledge and experience of its members to advance sustainable air quality management across the province.
In June 2026, CASA’s core funding was discontinued and the organization ceased operations. Following its dissolution, this website is being maintained as an archive to preserve the organization’s reports, resources, and contributions to air quality management in Alberta.
